Das Kurzfilmprogramm der YOUKI gibt Einblick in die Grundidee des Internationalen Jugend Medien Festivals in Wels, Oberösterreich – junge Filmschaffende sollen eine Bühne haben, um ihre Werke zu zeigen, ohne den Anspruch perfekt sein zu müssen und um sich austauschen zu können. Das Wort „Probierraum“ fällt während der Festivalwoche im November nicht selten, es beschreibt die Motivation perfekt. In 9 Filmen jeden Genres und aus der gesamten Welt, von Filmschaffenden, die zwischen 10 und 26 Jahre alt sind, wandern die Themen von Millenials über Feminismus bis hin zu Rassismus – ebenso kritisch betrachtet wie die junge Generation global denkt. YOUKI will diesen Gedanken Raum schaffen, so auch hier als Gast beim this human world.

YOUKI´s short film program gives a glimpse of the basic idea of the International Youth Media festival in Wels, Upper Austria – young film makers should have a platform to show their work without having to be perfect and to exchange ideas. Being able to try out new things and to test out what and how things work is part of every element of the festival. In 9 international films of every genre, filmmakers aged between 10 and 26 deal with a wide range of topics, from millenials to feminism and racism – these issues are presented from a critical point of view that mirrors the spirit of the young generation around the globe.
